Ok so I only can think of one reason for now…
So one thing I know that is vitally important in our lives is that we live a life of CELEBRATION. I often see people receive a complement from someone and I can “see it” bounce off them. “Oh thanks, but it wasn’t a big deal.” Do you deflect people’s affirmations and celebrations of you or ‘embrace’ them. By embracing them you give full value in return to the person that paid you the compliment. By deflecting you denigrate — however innocently — you diminished someones happiness. And, you’ve missed a crucial opportunity to rise up into your destiny and life calling; the place where you’re most successful and happy. This is a big deal.
Now for the sake of brevity and your valuable time, get this: Learn to celebrate and be celebrated by your victories, they will fuel you into greater things! Without that you will undoubtably be hope-deficient, forgetting that you made any progress at all.
So with that, I recently met with one of my Life Coaches that I have, and she suggested that I celebrate a recent accomplishment in my life through my developing business venture. So here is me celebrating ME! Not to show off, but to invite you in and to encourage you all to celebrate who you are, what you’ve done and where you’re going.
Last Friday:
Last Friday I got to live out one of my dreams. Along with my business partner, Jonathan Sharp (a brilliant and great friend), I lead a Team Building Workshop for a Southern California Clothing brand. The company is California Limited, they make and design a fun and popular clothing line and are gaining momentum in the industry (I insist you check them out). They asked my partner and I to do Personal Strengths Assessments on each of the team members, then lead a 3 hour interactive and empowering team building workshop.
What a success! – it was amazing! As I drove home from the meeting I couldn’t help but thank God profusely that I just got paid to walk out my dreams. Not only that, we saw an instant and visible change in the group. Communication barriers were brought down and you could literally see life flow into each person as they were seen and acknowledged as valuable on such a higher level than ever before. And this is only the beginning of our relationship with this powerful and successful team. (Can you see how this is fueling future success in my dreams!?)
So this is me soaking in the moment. Realizing that in this experience of personal celebration contains my ability to do even greater things.
My challenge to YOU: How do you deflect people’s affirmations and celebrations of you (however small they might be)? What ways can you celebrate your own victories or accomplishments? For me, it was inviting others into it – it was a way to make it more real and tangible and powerful!
NOW go and be celebrated! It’s time to start taking ground in finding all that your are meant to be and do!
